The polystyrene and OSB Board prevent the vinyl basement window sash and frame from being damaged during the flatwork pour and during construction. The Precise Cast in Place Vinyl Basement Window 48" x 48" double glazed slider basement window conforms to most Egress criteria with the vinyl sash opened, but not removed. Please check with your local building codes for required sizes and basement window placement.
The Precise Cast in Place Vinyl Basement Window is available in clear and with Low E argon gas. It has durable PVC welded frames, chamfered for strength and rigidity. It contains a durable metal locking system, aluminum screen, insulated weather striping, weep holes and brass rollers. Frame sizes are available in 32"x16", 32"x20", 32"x24", 48"x48", and 60"x48" for nominal or full wall thickness of 8", 10", and 12".
For those who wish to have a lighter window system during installation, the Cast In Place Vinyl Basement Window has the option of installing the glass after the home has been closed up. The frame is still poured into place but the window sashes and screen are shipped in a separate box for later installation.
