The ideal insulated wall matrix is to locate the insulating foam in the center of the wall, known as a sandwich wall. This provides the ultimate in energy efficiency as the climate controlled side gains the benefit of the thermal mass of the concrete as well as the R-Value of the foam.

The EASI-WALL System developed by Precise Forms will create the insulated sandwich wall of the future that provides ease of installation and security during the pouring procedure.

 

Sandwich walls have been around for decades however the construction process has been difficult at best for cast in place walls. The issue that confronts the contractor is maintaining proper and consistent foam location. In the past the best method to insure this was to make a 2 pour procedure, this is costly and comes with its own risks. The 2 pour procedure is essentially setting and pouring the wall twice to include steel placement and form setting and removal.

When considering the cost most commonly associated with sandwich wall systems, the Precise Forms EASI-WALL eliminates many on-site assembly and placement costs due to the pre-assembled units. It is the first insulated sandwich wall panel that has the standoffs and rebar as a standard factory assembled part of the system providing additional time and labor savings. The insulation itself is reenforced with a special mesh that greatly increases its strength and helps prevent breaks during the pour. Pre-assembled GFRP spacer's on a 10” grid provides for ultimate support and no heat or cold transfer thus providing for a true thermal barrier and ensures that the insulation remains exactly where you want it.

 

 

 

EASI-WALL is the first Insulated Sandwich Wall Panel that will stand the test of hydrostatic pressure developed when placing concrete. The patent pending EASI-WALL support system provides unparalleled insulation security, as much as 8 ft of offset in concrete placement from side to side with little insulation movement.



 

The combination of rebar and spacers allows plumbing and electrical to be placed prior to the setting of the forms and allows the concrete wall itself to be finished without having to be framed out.

With fast attachment of the electrical items directly to the EASIWALL using the outlet clip, the system continues to reduce cost and keep the project on a fast pace schedule. The outlet clip holds the outlet firmly to the form face providing for reduced chance of filling with concrete during the pour.


Windows and door openings can be formed by removing the rebar in the proper location and placing a split buck. Removing the rebar on-site rather than in the factory allows for exact placement of doors and windows and ensures they are plumb and level. The split buck protects the thermal break by allowing the insulation to be cut after the pour.

Simply place the outside buck against the wall in the proper location making sure it is plum and level. Drill through the insulation and place bolts into the supports. The inside buck is then placed and nuts are tightened holding both sides into place for the pour. Aluminum split bucks can be created for multiple pour situations or wood bucks can be created for custom sizes or last minute changes.


The EASI-WALL system can be customized to meet most any need. T-walls can be formed without creating a thermal break. Gable and stacked wall situations are easy to create. Window and door openings can be placed where ever they are desired.

Tall wall construction poses little difficulty. The pre-assembled EASIWALL panel works very well in gang form or hand set designs.
